Spirulina is a blue-green microscopic algae belonging to the phylum Cyanobacteria. The composition of the product contains Arthrospira platensis algae standardized for the content of min. 60% protein. They contain many vitamins, beta-carotene and minerals such as magnesium, calcium, phosphorus, iron and iodine.
Currently, spirulina is most often used as a dietary supplement, primarily due to its high protein and nutrient content, while being low in calories. Studies have shown that regular spirulina supplementation affects weight management, mainly due to its starch-reducing properties. Unbroken down starch passes through the intestines, stimulating their activity while not providing the body with additional calories.

Detox the body
Chlorophyll present in spirulina, but much less than in chlorella, facilitates detoxification of the body from toxins and heavy metals, such as mercury, cadmium, lead or arsenic. Accumulated toxins in the body can be the cause of many ailments: fatigue, allergies, autoimmune diseases and even cancer. Heavy metal poisoning affects every person. Unfortunately, we live in an increasingly polluted environment. We often breathe polluted smog air, containing substances from burning coal and garbage, as well as car exhaust fumes and industrial fumes. Harmful heavy metals can also be found in water and food.
Consumption of spirulina restores the proper acid-base balance – spirulina has an alkalizing effect on the body, i.e. reduces acidification, which is currently a huge health problem.
Cleansing with spirulina will make us gain an increased amount of energy and strength to cope with everyday duties, and our vitality will certainly return to its proper level.
Spirulina is an extremely valuable superfood, rich in antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and other valuable nutrients. Their lack in the diet can have various consequences, including affecting our immunity. Spirulina will make the human body defend itself much more effectively against viral, bacterial or fungal infections, and when taken in autumn and winter (when colds and flu are raging), it can protect us from many diseases. It relieves sinus pain associated with allergic rhinitis and ailments associated with a runny nose (sneezing, excessive nasal discharge, nasal congestion, itching in the nose).
Spirulina also has hematopoietic properties. Due to its content of iron, folic acid, spirulina can be recommended in case of anemia.
Spirulina for athletes and people who want to lose weight
Spirulina is an excellent source of well-digestible protein. It contains almost all essential amino acids that the body cannot produce on its own. This makes it ideal as a dietary supplement for athletes, physically active people and those with an increased need for protein. It is a natural, vegan alternative to popular animal protein.
This algae contains compounds that have a beneficial effect on improving metabolism, inhibiting hunger pangs, improving digestion or fat burning itself, so it will accelerate the weight loss process. It also contains large amounts of fiber, which improves digestion and provides a feeling of satiety for longer. This algae is also a source of phenylalanine, an amino acid that inhibits the activity of the hunger center and regulates postprandial glycemia. Phycocyanin has a similar effect, which is primarily a strong antioxidant, but it also lowers blood triglycerides and postprandial glycemia and inhibits pancreatic lipase.
Regular spirulina supplementation affects glycemic health and weight management.
